    so these unofficial mixtapes...

    are they all unreleased songs or how does this work?? I know this is a stupid question but are these just remixes or something different? Also as far as the empire mixtapes goes... are there any that don't have those "THE EMPIRE" things dropped into them? it kinda annoys me hahah but anyways sorry for the noobish questions or whatever and thanks in advanced

    The Empire is a person, a "DJ." Some of them get leaks or exclusives at times and drop them on mixtapes, but since most of them *empire* are greedy little bitches, they add that little sound effect you hear. Those tags are annoying as fuck "Wrinkle your school clothes, we eaattttin!!!, we the best! & so on." DJ Drama is the worst, IMO. Well anyways, they do that so other guys don't go out and start their own mixtape with those songs and claim credit for them. There's MANY fake and popular Weezy tapes out. Some may have old acapellas in new beats with new names or same songs with different names. The best thing to do is to listen to the preview or familiarize yourself with the "DJ."

    The only thing it takes for anybody to become a DJ is a computer nowadays.

      ah I see.. yeah those tags are seriously fucking annoying.. so then are all of "the drought is over" mixtapes unreleased songs or are some of themjust ones that leaked before an album came out but now we have? haha sorry for all the questionsss

        The drought is over is nearly always all exclusive songs that aren't released at the time. Some have already came out and some are just like half a song or a minute long snippet of a track that comes out in full at some point after the mixtape has came out.
