Some dude named Bill Laimbeer. He has like 4,000+ posts but was coming at me for posting 9 times. I guess I haven't figured out his posting rules yet... either that or there's some crazy stuff in Downloads he's really worried about protecting!

I can kind of get going after spammers, spammers can hijack and ruin forums. The downloads thing is kind of weird. I mean trying to jump in here and getting accused of some nonsense right out of the gate, that's not cool. And even if some guy is posting just to get into the magical downloads forum... what good is attacking them going to do? They'll still get their posts in and then be out. Meanwhile legit posters facing that kind of hostility will just stop hanging around. Hopefully you're right and after 30 posts people like Bill will chill out. Until then people like that are keeping people like me from posting...

That nonsense aside, seriously what do you guys put in the downloads? Do you have some crazy exclusives here or something? It must be something pretty big if people posting to get in there is such a problem. I mean when I'm looking for a download the last place I'm about to go is some forum where I have to post 30 times. We're on the internet and there are much easier ways to get a hold of things than that. Must be some kids that don't know how to use Google properly.

No worries. Didn't offend so much as put me off posting, but the rest of the folks around here seem chill so it evened out. I'm not really out to prove anything to you so do what you like with my rep. Instead, maybe the next time some one joins a forum at least wait until you know what he's up to before you start your rep attack.
