It's the middle of March, which means that college students are concerned about two things: The NCAA basketball tournament and spring break. MTV News is already handling the former, and beginning Monday, March 22, MTV will have you covered on the latter. MTV Spring Break 2010 will head south of the border to Acapulco for some fun in the sun with Ludacris, Pitbull, the Young Money Crew (featuring Drake and Nicki Minaj), Trey Songz, B.o.B and the cast of "The Real World/Road Rules Challenge." Leading the festivities will the the professional party patrol that is the cast of MTV's "Jersey Shore." Snooki, the Situation, DJ Pauly D and the rest will all be there tanned-up and ready to roll.
Spring break is a time-honored tradition at MTV, and in the past the network has invaded Daytona Beach, Lake Havasu, Cancu, South Padre Island and a number of others. Last year, MTV set up camp in Panama City Beach, where an unprecedented lineup of stars rolled out for parties and performances. All-American Rejects, 3OH!3, Flo Rida, Santigold, N.E.R.D., Asher Roth, Jim Jones and Kid Cudi all delivered sun-soaked performances for the fun-loving crowds. But of course, the highlight of the whole affair was Lil Wayne, who lit the place on fire with the one-two punch of "Got Money" and "Prom Queen." It's a scorching performance that is sure to get you ready for fun in the sun (or just some fun in your living room with the MTV crew).
