With Artille pulling out I'll host the written tournament this time around.
How It Works
Based on last tournaments point ranking system, if you sign up you will be seeded via your points from the last tournament, the person with the highest amount of points will be ranked 1st etc...
If you did not participate last time and you wish to sign up this time then you can but you will be seeded based on first come first serve. In simple terms, the quicker you sign up the better your seed will be.
I am hoping we can get 16 people to participate and it will be a straight knock-out style tournament with no loser bracket. I'm not against the idea but a lot of people gave up after they lost in the winners bracket last time so it won't be used this time.
I need 2 or 4 judges to sign up, preferably ones that have some experience in writing or recording, that means you Haikes
Sign-ups begin with immediate effect and will finish on April 16th 2010

Rules
Any plagiarism will result in an immediate disqualification for the tournament and any points you may have will be made 0.
Failure to submit your verse by the deadline date will result in you automatically losing that round and you be eliminated.
Any arguing over judging decisions will result in your being banned from participating next tournament and if you argue on behalf of someone you will be disqualified from the tournament if you have not been eliminated.
All entries are to be Personal Messaged to me before the deadline date for each round, any other form of entry or entry after the deadline will result in automatic elimination.
How judging will work
Your round entries will be judged with a points system, for example, if you slightly exceed the maximum amount you will lose 1 point.
Judges will be able to offer points for the following: Punchlines, metaphors, similes, hanging lines, flow, amount written, ability to stay on topic and overall effectiveness of the verse.
Punchline, metaphor, simile and hanging lines are all given 1 point for each one the judge likes. Everything else will be awarded a maximum of 10 points and can lose you a maximum of 5 points.
All the judges will then add up the points for each verse and then I will combine all the judges overall scores to figure out the winners and losers each round.
Round Rules
The rules for each round will be placed here once the tournament begins
Round Match-ups
Once the tournament starts I'll place the brackets here with updates each round
