See I'm only trying to spend $1000 on a car. So everything on Craigslist in that price range is like missing an engine or something.

Go to a car lot and put a down payment on a car. But try not to put all $1000. Leave yourself like $100 or so incase in some month's you need some extra money to pay the payment. And don't get too much of an expensive car if you don't think you can afford. Just go for like $2000~ and you could get that paid off in a couple month's and wouldn't even have to pay much interest.
