Written Tournament Rules
1. In order to compete in a Written Tournament you must be signed up in Tha Studio Index as a writer.
2. All verses submitted must be original material. Recycled/Stolen lyrics will result in a banning from all tournaments both written and audio.
3. You must follow all details given for each round of the tournament. Failure to do so will result in a loss for that round.
4. All tournaments will be in double-elimination format and will consist of either eight or sixteen seeds.5. The winners of the Winners Bracket and Losers Bracket advance to the Championship Battle in which the winner wins it all.
6. After each tournament participants will be given points based on their final placings. These points will go toward your seed.
7. Seeds help organize tournaments and show participants their overall ranking. Higher seeds compete against lower seeds opponents in the early rounds.

Short Explanation: The tournament is split into two brackets, Winners Bracket and Losers Bracket. Every participant starts the tournament in the Winners Bracket. A loss or disqualification will move you to the Losers Bracket. A loss in the Losers Bracket will eliminate you from the tournament.

Rematches: If during a single tournament two competitors face each other for the second time then the rules change a bit.
If a player is up 3-0 (3 votes to 0) on an opponent from the first match they faced each other in then the loser of the first round must score all 3 votes to remain in the tournament and make the score 3-3.
Same goes for a 2-1 rematch score, the loser of the first round would have to win 2-1 to remain in the tournament or 3-0 to win the match.
Rematch Tie: In the event of a tie after a rematch and the score is 3-3, competitors will each write an 8 bar "diss" verse which will be judged and the person who obtains the most votes is the victor.
If a player is up 3-0 (3 votes to 0) on an opponent from the first match they faced each other in then the loser of the first round must score all 3 votes to remain in the tournament and make the score 3-3.
Same goes for a 2-1 rematch score, the loser of the first round would have to win 2-1 to remain in the tournament or 3-0 to win the match.
