Okay, this is my opinion based on knowledge of his music, and his accomplishments. I'm getting aggravated seeing people hate on Tune or claiming he's overrated.
So I felt this needed to be said. Like how I was a fan of wrestling, I've been a life long fan of Hip-Hop in every way. Wayne isn't overrated at all. To me overrated is saying someone is nowhere near as good as the recognition they've been recieving. Wayne came out with countless mixtapes and then the Carter III. Selling 1.5 million the first week. Who've done that so far in an era like this? Before y'all talk shit and say that don't matter look what he has done? Wasn't there a time.. Probably during the Drought is Over series.. When you would listen to nothing bur Wayne. Not only that what other.. Not rapper.. But musician do you know can make you only like his version better than the original? For example.. 30 minutes to new Orleans and No Ceilings. He has numerous awards and his camp, Young Money is basically Noah's Ark. You get the most recognition on that label. It's like the futuristic Death Row.
Also, remember how I said there was a time where all you heard was Wayne? Is it me or every one is trying to step their game up while he's been incarcirated. It wasn't even this way when he was going to court. There's a lot of good rappers now and I feel like since the rapper eater been quiet everyone is taking their chance to blow out. I can't think of not one rapper to shut up 50 Cent, raps' biggest bully, yet Wayne did with that song Gossip and on the first two bars spitted on Louisianimal. Even Em was frightened on releasing a diss track on Wayne and made collabos with Wayne. And all of a sudden he ditches Relaspe 2 and dropped recovery. Wayne makes it look so easy and he gave the game what it's been missing and I think it's time we all payed him homage.
He has exactly what it takes to be Rap's Micheal Jackson. Style, unique language, and the shades. He persona define the elite rapper. He has come a long way. When Carter IV drops I will be there to tell you all.. I told you so.
