Mack said yesterday in New York. "He had so many songs for Tha Carter IV, we said let's just put these 10 songs out [on I Am Not a Human Being] and double-back for Tha Carter IV. He has more songs for Tha Carter IV that are still strong."

I think there will still be some older stuff on it too, but mostly fresh out of jail stuff.

So he gave me The Carter IV before he went in- 20-something songs. Gee and I listened to them, but as time went one- I talk to Wayne everyday- it inspired me that he’d been writing inside. So I decided I wanna brand Carter IV as that Wayne the world’s been waiting to hear. It’s now gonna be all fresh-out-of jail material.The Carter Brand is so large I wanna make sure we don’t go backwards.
