Not many people realize that there isn't enough money floating around in the system to fix or make new levees. I work for the same people who are in a way responsible for locks, dams, reservoirs, and levees. The lifespan is 50 years for locks/dams/levees. If they last any longer than that then consider yourself lucky. Any work done to them is patchwork. If you lost your life because you stayed in N.O., that isn't my fault.
