320 kbps vs itunes m4a

does anybody know the real difference?
like which ones is better
what kbps is itunes set at
quality sounding
im thinking of switching many of my albulms to m4a to save space if there is no real difference or if it is better

ITunes is 256 kps. I don't really see the difference. I mean if ur gonna be paying for the music I don't see why it wouldn't be at the highest quality.

The human ear cannot distinguish a difference between 256 and 320 anyway. I assume that's the same for KBPS vs. M4A. Locked.
