Come on folks, Wayne will not sell a million copies in the first week. When eminem sells like 700 k in the first week, wayne certainly won't sell more. The only reason wayne sold good with C3 was because em wasn't around and wayne was the best hip hop there was (it was still shitty)..

your saying since recovery sold 700k wayne cannot top that? your making it seem whatever eminem do it cannot be touched. C3 sold a million first week so does that automatically meant relapse was gonna sell 2 million first week? Wayne attracts more fans since his muisc is more diverse and that equals more sales, C4 will do 1million+

Wayne no matter what has a huge fanbase to support him, but to sell a milli first week you need to reach everyone, and right now, at least where I am, everyone seems a bit tired of Wayne, the buzz is gone. It's not over-saturation or anything, he's just not done anything exciting in a while really, closest to any buzz over here was "Right Above It". I reckon he'll need a HUGE song that's instantly memorable and catchy but also has great lyrics.
If he has a song with a great hook people will pay attention but he's then gotta back it up and keep em listening with some fresh lyrical content, I'm a big Wayne fan but if his first single off Carter 4 features 5 punchlines about being the shit, a few unrelated claims about the pussy he gets and his cash being so "X" that you can call him "Y" I'll be seriously dissapointed. Even more so if the whole thing is done with the punchline flow lol, if he does then it's going down...basement.
I have faith in Wayne, it's been shaken a bit the last year or two and I don't see him as the best anymore but he'd have to release 2 albums of autotuned fart noises for me to give up completely. Even then it'd probaly sound better than Rebirth songs like "Get a Life"

First week records are overrated its all about the long haul. If ya album sells over a million hard copies in these days, I mean in the US alone thats a blessing.

Z!Greatest was being realistic though, 'cause Wayne's pre-jail verses (the ones that came out after Willy Wonka) started to be VERY predictable. I still do like those verses don't get me wrong. I just don't want Weezy to end up another Birdman saying how he's "in the building" or don't "fuck with me wrong" in every verse.

Still my favorite rapper regardless

Tbh I'm not putting a whole lot of weight on those verses from right before prison. He was just trying to record shit so people would remember him while he was in. If his post-jail material is still like that, then I'll start to worry. From the little we've heard though, it's a lot better. I still think it's dumb that people don't like him using a lot of punchlines though, he's always done that. Not saying I don't like his storytelling songs and stuff (it's actually some of my favorite of his material), but the main reason he's regarded as one of the best rappers out there is because his metaphors and wordplay (e.g. his punchlines) are better than everybody else's.
