When a musician doesn't stick to the "storyline" of a song, Jumps from line to line without staying on topic for more then 2 bars. Rap's about anything.
Young Corruption's lyrics are good, he just needs to work on his flow and delivery. He got potential.
like i said earlier i didn't know how to go on this beat but i was already committed and didn't want to back out. i got a new song coming soon maybe later tonight and it'll be completely different that this. but thank you about my lyrics i was high as shit and just wrote whatever came to mind
He ain't talking about anythin, from what i've picked up the one time listening was that, he gets high, peeps frontin, something about being a candle(?) and whining about breaking LWHQ rules by mistake..
just nahhh...
yeah i talked a lot of non sense but if you go back and listen to my other music i usually have a story about my life in there. i liked writing real shit not fake stuff. and i usually go off of the hook but with this song i could do whatever i wanted with it so i just went for it. and candle? i talk no where about a candle. and yes i took a little shot at HQ because people whine and bitch too much on this site over something so little
YOUR MYKILL RAP ANALYSIS (Like SportsCenter, but for rappin....)
Young Corruption // I dont see improvement. I know you claim being high when you did it, but you were on a road towards improvement of your flow and this just sounds as bad as your others. Time to step back, look at the feedback and see what's going on. Change something up to make your music more intriguing. You have the same problem I do, sounding monotone and not as lively as you could. Lyrically you could also improve a bit, look at your previous tape where you did some nice full of feeling material. Draw on whatever got you to write that, and let that monster out.
MC_Crary // Energy is great. Work on your ad-lib and timing. Your unique flow is what attracts the listener to your music. Master it, make it more your own and in the future no one can touch you. Lyrically your substance was on point. You arent getting many votes this round (nor am I) but I think next go around when you have more time and you dont have a looming project behind you to worry about you'll put forth a far better effort. I also like the shameless plug at the end lol.
Mykill // This guy sucks. A lot. Like a Hoover. Or a Dyson. I'm not a punchline rapper at all, so I fail at this stuff. Critique wise, I think you could improve on your delivery more, and try to come up with more witty stuff than what you had there. Not that its bad, just listening to verse from Dreezy, Sentus, Diezel, Noble, etc it's not the same caliber. Your music has a lot of potential, but its often help back by your deliver and developing a consistency in your flow.
Noble // Suspect. I'm not going to lie, someone hosting a contest really shouldnt compete in it. Just my two cents. I'm not saying foul play is at hand, but it could happen. Sometimes I can't understand what you're saying. Like its being rushed and the ad-lib efforts are reverbing too much. The "Scary Flow" line was really nice. Punchlines are on point though, I like this verse.
Sentus // I think this track proves how Sentus ISNT as f'n good as he thinks. That aside, lyrics were some of the strongest of anyone I've heard. Multi syllable rhyme schemes annoy me for some reason. I guess its how it all sounds "forced" in a way, but anyway Sentus put forth a superior effort lyrically, just needs to learn how to flow well on anything. Get that down and he could be one of the best in The Studio.
Yung Diezel // I dont think Diezel did as fantastic of a job as he could of nor as people have perceived it. His sound alliteration is very nice, good multis, flow is on point as ever, but I dunno...just dont know why it didnt "pop!" to me. I'm going to listen to it some more and see what it is. Maybe its how the beginning sounds like he's slurring his speech or something, I dont know, but as far as a freestyle goes I think it was fantastic. Just something about it that bothers me. I'll figure out later i 'spose....
Dreezy // I dont exactly see what's so "ooooh" and "ahhhh" about this one. I think its cause I'm just numb to Dreezy's lyrics. I'm at the point now where I just dont get surprised by some of the punchlines he comes up with, because like some people were arguing earlier - I dont see the substance. Sure Dreezy breaks the mold and does some great stuff as a musician and his punchlines are good. But the one thing people expect from him and will prolly never get anytime soon is him becoming a "story-teller" rapper. As a mainstream, pop-infused rapper, he's better than perfect, and that's why things like this and freestyles he shines. Dreezy is the best punchline rapper on The Studio, hands down, so I can understand why there are so many fans of his Cypher.
Lulz..On his last tape some songs lacked substance but others were great. I'm not saying your a shit rapper dude...Just that THP & Dreezy have better substance in there songs most times.
Hahahah thats what I'm saying bruh. Half these niggas don't even have flow to have substance. Fuck outta here trying to put my shit down like I don't rap bout shit? Lol. Funny.
