Wayne Performing six foot seven foot vs. Studio Version
Re: Wayne Performing six foot seven foot vs. Studio Version
As it has been discussed NUMEROUS times before, the LIVE performance is his REAL & RAW voice without a PITCH CORRECTION, SQUEAKINESS, its the RAW & RASPY "Weezy" voice without engineer correction that was Wayne's style of recording before No Ceilings in 2009. At least we can look forward to the live performances and glimpse what the studio versions "could of been" had Wayne not used the high pitch effect on his voice in the studio versions.
Murder capital, only key to survive is kill
If the elements dont murder you the riders will 4 real
And niggas know I goes hard to the fullest
Get involved and I got em playin dodge ball with bullets

pitch correction my ass, its called vocals being mastered. During that process, the vocals become clearer. As much as I love the live version, his vocals are better clearer on the recorded version. He had more energy during the live version + running outa breathe thats y his voice was crackin n growlin.. he can still sound like that on wax if he yelled lowder. But the studio version is also very enrgetic.
I don't why yall complain honestly.

No, it's really called a 'pitch correction' and vocals being mastered? They're already mastered once he spits them through the studio booth. It's not like he's recording through a webcam microphone and the producer has to 'fix' them. I'm sorry, but the reason it's more clearer on the recorded version is because IT'S JUST HIM. No guitars, drums, back-up vocals, a beat, etc in the booth.
And normally when you try and rap fast, and also jump around and move a lot, you tend to run out of breath. In the booth, you actually have the time to STOP recording, and listen to what you just recorded, plus you aren't jumping and moving (a lot) in a studio. No complaining here, sir.

Dude just admit that Weezy alters his vocals on the new records to a squeaky lil girl voice and move on, these new songs fukin hurt my ears its so squeaky sometimes and it really pisses me off, no reason i would be makin it up same with the many others here. its called common sense and using your ears to listen and compare, if your a real lil wayne fan and know all his songs from the past you can tell the difference cause its so blatantly obvious, and no its not his voice "maturing" overtime. I guess he does it to appeal to the 12-16 year olds cause thats the only ones that dig the change from what I see on here
