People win their match based on their score and it doesnt matter WHO their paired against. It gives people a better chance to make it to the semis and the finals. A+ Rapper #1 and A+ Rapper #2 can't just sweep the thing unless they put forth 100% effort. If a judge things they sounded boring and they werent lazy with delivery and wordplay and score em at a 3, that A+ Rapper could easily lose his round.

I dont know if I'm explaining it well, but it just sounded like the fairest way to do scoring and determine winners during Round 1. The Semis and Finals judging is way more detailed, and I'm going to develop a good rubric for it for them to use. First and foremost, I think the main point is things WONT be measured solely on mic quality and some other technical issues in Round 1. The focus in this round is to showcase those four principles, and you can do all that without having a $200 mic and extensive knowledge of some recording software. Hope this helps.
put me in bro im in the process of writin one now

Alright, so 32 lines is what it is (You should specify that in the OP just to make sure there is no confusion...). Half way there....

                my iphone record thing.

it wont sound bad. sense its just acapella and shit but if i were to make it to the final with having to master it and shit, that i wont be able to do. but i plan on goin to semi finals. with the 32 bars and a beat.

if someone can help me master my recordings if i do make it, that would be amazing.

Re: LMI Presents...The "Fiyah Spitta" Audio Battle Tournament

with the success of this, we can possibly do a straight acapella battle tourney. that way those who arent the best at mastering can still showcase their talent, and not have to worry about bells and whistles and syncin' with a beat

yea the master thing i cant do.

but i know how to go with the beat and add the beat to my little dj prgram thing i got with the recording if that makes sense.

but the iphone doesnt sound horrible tho..

Nah, I don't mind them. But it would be boring to do just acapella's. You can't really be too creative with them. I like how you're doing it now. Acapella - Verse on beat - Full song on beat. Shows all artist abilities imo.
