Is Lil Wayne Really Being Himself?

I honestly think if Wayne did him, and stayed true to himself, he'd be a better rap. I'm starting to realize how fake he's being, trying to be hard when he really isn't. He knows it. It doesn't fit him at all, he seems like a nice guy, and I think if he should quite doing it, change. He's getting older now, and if he starts becoming more honest in his lyrics he could be much better.

I think if anything Wayne has been opening up over the years, If you look at what he was rapping about back in 06 he was talking about the drugs he sell's, The people he's been shooting and how he's generally on the block or the hood. Which he obv wasn't and if you compare those to what he says now he still talks about killing people but he's showing an emotional side to himself, He seems to be all about love etc now a days, Just my opinion.

I'm hoping there isn't a lot of killing talk on C4. I don't really mind it, but I would much rather have lyrics with more substance, and I know that Wayne can supply this.

But Wayne was actually on drugs, so he was talking about what he did, I give props to him, for not doing it now but He still talks about shooting. I feel like he's pretty soft, he needs to be a Man, and show his growth. he stopped Drugs, to to keep his freedom, now stop all of this violent talk.

Yes, but he was Young, a lot of rappers do that. When he was in Jail, he should of reflected on that. and Carter 2 had more Emotion.

He was on drug's but he never sold them so tbh that's not being himself. Also if you listen to thing's like Grenade remix that's a side of Wayne we haven't really seen yet
