Wouldn't surprise me tbh, professional rivalry/competition inevitabley leads to tension. If there was tension (me speculating) it was likely stem from Wayne feeling threatened by Drakes popularity and rapping skills.

Disclaimer:
The second part of the first paragraph was me speculating over an hypothetical situation. Second don't spout me bullshit that Wayne wants Drake to do better etc... Obviously that's true to a degree, I'll guarantee Wayne wouldn't want Drake to become bigger than him.

Wayne has said since he got out he wants Drake to do better than him, of course he's human and probably in reality would like to be the best but from his interviews and shit he's basically said he's done it all and is going through the final stage of being a complete musician right now to solidify his legacy while having fun. Wayne's career since he was a kid up till now has made him one of the greatest with Big, Pac, Jay and them. He knows he can't lose that status ever.

I' use to suspect tension would grow between them eventually, but there isn't any now. close.
