Re: The Official Studio Tournament *Round 2*

    Judges Votes

All votes will be displayed anonymously. If you think i made up any of this then just ask any judge to confirm thats its legit, im just copying and pasting what they said. And my own votes too.

Match 1: GillieDakid vs Lil Josh

(No voting nessesary) Josh wins by default

Match 2: YNR vs Lil son

My vote goes to YNR. This was a hard decision: Lil son has a great flow and his sound quality is better than YNR's. His lyric game was on point, I heard some cool metaphors that sounded really good. But YNR delivered a consistent verse, like he went "hard" on the beat, and I enjoyed how this forever beat fits with a violent verse. The beginning was harder than the end, tho, It could be even better if it stayed that violent during the entire song.
My vote goes to Lil Son, i feel like he made better use of the whole beat, he had better delivery, and lyrics imo, and i couldnt stand what ynr did to the hook.
My vote goes to Lil Son, full credit to both contestants here. Lil son especially on the verse, his flow was good and he had some good lyrics here and there. YNR was more creative out of the 2, making the track his, redoing the hook and had a good delivery into his verse. But Lil son sounded more suited for the beat, his flow and lyrics is what got my vote.
I would have to say this is one of the toughest matches that a judge has to vote on, they both were really good. For someone new like Lil son to make it this far, is an acheivement which he should be proud of. Thx for participating.

    Match 3: MyKill vs YoungFire

(No voting nessasary) Mykill wins by default.

Match 4: Dreezy Baby vs Majesty

My vote goes to Dreezy Baby, I think Majesty put alot of effort into his track, spitting so much, everything on that track defines effort. But unfortunately effort alone won't win you this competition. The rule said "16 bars give or take". Majesty did way more, but why i made that is because i didn't want people to over do it, if you stopped at 32 bars or even 48 bars maybe I wouldv'e liked it better. By the time i get to finish through all your bars, ive already lost focus on what to note down and that, partly bored, partly amazed.

But when it comes down to lyrics, like i said Majesty put alot of effort into his lyrics. "You spit untrue, your life story be a fable" is an example of that. So well done on that. Dreezy on the other hand related to some real stuff happening now, instead of talking about himself like most rappers. He mentioned "the tournament" "GTA Volume 2" and flowed well while also speaking about true events coming up or happening. "

In terms of delivery and quality, Dreezy wins that. You mic let you down Majesty, some words were fuzzy if not unclear. Dreezy also editted the track alot which is a plus. Again this is another one of those hard matches where we Judges really need to work hard on.
My vote goes to Majesty. Another difficult decision, and I hope Dreezy reads past the vote. Their flow is really different, Dreezy has a high-pitched voice, and his flow fits with it almost perfectly (just like Wayne). But Majesty made something incredible, spitting 90 bars with almost the same rythm/flow. Ya dig? He just kept going. The lyric game is also different between both of them, but I can't decide who's best cause Dreezy bases it on wordplay (playing with words) and metaphors, techniques like that, whereas Majesty (who also plays with words "keys, alicia") makes it sound more serious. So on the lyrics, I would say 50/50.
My vote goes to Dreezy, better lyrics and delivery, and i enjoyed it a lot more.
