Gray boxes occur when the person leaving rep has no rep power and therefore has had no affect on your overall reputation. So someone could leave a positive rep or negative, but either way it will end up neutral

thats your rep power which goes up with how many posts you have, go to settings in the banner and scroll down it will give ya a list

How do I link to a certain part of a post. In case I wanted to create a Table of Contents or something like that.

Example: At the top of the page would be "1. Gaming" and in the middle of the post is where it would link to where it talks about Gaming.
