I can't really say much considering I just joined, but I think the only way to truly prevent spam would be to remove the post requirement and maybe only make it so you just need an account.

I dont even think spamming is a big problem here, its mostly just genuine users posting things in the wrong sections by mistake. And true spammers get dealt with swiftly already
