I've been thinking about it, and here's what I think. Even if Detox is the greatest album ever, and I mean better than the Beatles' White Album, it's still not going to be enough. There is a decade of hype surrounding this album, so no matter what it's going to disappoint. It's like pegging John Wall as the second coming of Jesus Christ - it's just not gunna happen. Detox will be a classic (the good doctor is a perfectionist, after all) but it won't be fully appreciated for some time after it's release - I'm talking a few years at the earliest. People are going to have to take it without context and listen to it as just another album, and not listen to it as THAT album.

I mean, this is the most hyped and anticipated album of all-time, right? The follow-up album to a living legend's first two CERTIFIED CLASSICS, that has taken 10 years to make, and the best rapper alive (Eminem) shouting it out in some of his songs ("And don't worry about that Detox... we're gunna make Dre do it").

Given that, there are going to be a lot of naysayers about this album at first, but after a few years it will be recognized as the classic that (i hope) it will be!

And Thank Me Later, I hope, is going to be a great album in and of itself! I'm praying Drake goes back to his Comeback Season/Room For Improvement days, before YM and Birdshit got a hold of him....

I agree with this. For those who said TML will be better than Detox...it can't be. I can't imagine Drake will be able to make an album in about a year thats better than what Dr. Dre spent ten years coming up with. I could be wrong, maybe Dre took all this time cause he can't make nothin hot anymore. But i doubt it

As of now, it IS on TML. The version that dropped is nowhere near the final one. The final has rapping.
