Problem with drake at juno awards

Congrats to drake on winning the 2 awards and i am the farthest thing from a drake hater, but he really disappointed me last night when giving his acceptance speech's..no thank you to lil wayne? i mean youve said hes your mentor and he is the one who gave him the opportunity to shine the way he has in the public eye, he had two chances to do so and shoutout YM or wayne but instead choose not to i just don't really understand why.

I think the guys been thanking lil wayne enough. I mean he's been doing it for over a year, I think there comes a point where it gets kinda old, don't you think? And besides, it's just the Juno awards, it's not like the whole world was watching.

To be perfectly honest he would have made it with or without Wayne. I do not believe Wayne was the reason for HIS* success. no. After Drizzy Dropped So Far Gone he could have done anything. If anything he should thank wayne by "thank you wayne in believing in me and seeing that you could make millions of dollars off of me by selling me to the mainstream crowd"

i agree with the birdman comment too and yeah drake wouldve made it but not to the extent he's at now with lil wayne as your co-sign, cus look at J.cole..you can agrue j.cole is as nice if not nicer than drake and his co-sign is Jay-z and he still doesnt have anywhere near the buzz drake has, and a simple shout out to Young money or something wouldve been cool is all im saying cus for EVERY award wayne recieves he thanks the man that got em making money and thats birdman.

True but sometimes people can do it without the co-sign.
I mean a perfect example is Wiz Khalifa. He stepped out of a record deal with Warner Bro's (i think thats the record company) and he decided to go solo and just promote himself and do it without all the other bullshit. He has such a big fan following and is so opposite of mainstream

You guys really think Drake would've made it as far as he has without Wayne? If that was the case how come he didn't blow up when he dropped Comeback Season and Room For Improvement (Before Wayne's co-sign). I don't mine if he doesn't thank Wayne at every award show but at some point he should.

I really think he would have made it without Lil Wayne, he was just making music that happened to catch on. Like Best I Ever Had and Successful would have been big songs anyway.

maybe if the songs that made Drake blow had lil wayne on em my statement would be dumb but thing is Drake wrote his hits by himself
