Bun B was in the studio recording a song for his Trill O.G. album called "All Night Long". Lil Wayne heard the record and wanted to get on it, so of course Weezy adds his verse to it. Drake heard the song and and loved it so much that he asked Bun B if he could have it complete with Weezy's verse. What's Bun to say to that? He obviously said sure you can have it, just make sure you Thank Me Later. Drake took the song and removed Bun B's verse. (Not cool!) That song would become Drake's current single "Miss Me" from his Thank Me Later album which is now in stores. The single would debut at #15 on Billboard, making it Drake's highest charting single from the album and higher than any single Bun has ever had.
Bun B claims he's not upset over the matter. Unfortunately for him, his Trill O.G. album has no Lil Wayne feature now, but Drake did hop on 2 of the songs. Check the quotes from Bun after the jump, including if he expects fans to ever hear the original version....
Finally, Bun explained that eventually, fans would likely hear the original version of the song, and why he is still briefly in the final cut.

"We were at Takeover Studios," recalled the UGK emcee, revealing the song's origin. "We went in two different days. It was recorded for my project. Well there’s a different hook, too. It was the ’All Night Long’ hook because it wasn’t called ’Miss Me’ when we recorded it. Then, Wayne heard it and wanted to get on it. So we ended up putting Wayne on the record, and Drake asked me if he could have the record back with Wayne on it." Bun B made it a point to assert that he had no problem with the situation. "It doesn’t bother me because we still make music. It wasn’t shady business or anything. All the verses were 32 bars [so they took mine off.]"
"[The part where I ask, 'Drake, you got ’em right?'] was already in the song because we wrote it together for my album so that was already in his verse. He wrote it like that for me to say that line right there. Then, when he did the verse with Wayne, they just kept me in there. I’m sure after his album comes out [the version with my verse] will find its way to the Internet."
