Drake, the young rapper signed to Lil Wayne’s label and supergroup Young Money has been recently reported to be in a studio session with Soulja Boy which they have claimed to have produced several tracks in what the rappers are both excited about. Soulja Boy spoke with Hip Hop blog Rap-Up to say “Me and Drake got something coming – soon” which can only make us more anticipated for what these superstar rappers can produce in the studio.
This wasn’t an unexpected collaboration – the Young Money rapper and the SODMG rapper have been very close in the several months. When Soulja Boy was brought to the attention of his little half-brother Deion Jenkins accident that resulted in his death instantly, he took to Twitter to tell his fans about his loss which left him inactive for Twitter for the longest period of around 8 days for as far as we can remember. One of the hundreds of thousands who tweeted their condolences was Drake who said that he has his prayers for Soulja Boy before his concert performance that night. And Drake is a fan of Soulja Boy’s recent “Juice” mixtape, and said “Man, I like the Juice mixtape. I like the ‘Zan With That Lean’” and is said to really like four tracks on the mixtape. Soulja Boy followed up by telling Rap Up TV: “We gonna go in the studio for a whole week. He’s working on his new album too, so you already know what time it is.” so it can result in them both knocking out a good 5-10 tracks. Tyga and Chris knocked out a 17-track mixtape in a week “Fan of a fan” which was insanely popular and featured “Deuces” and “No Bulls**t” which are featured on Chris Brown’s new album F.A.M.E. (Forgiving All Of My Enemies).
