Yeah he's probably been doing it for a while but now he's making it his image among fans that follow him. Meaning hes not walking around big award shows and interviews etc with a double cup to where the media highlights it and makes it this big deal (like what happened with Tune). We have no way of knowing but my guess is that he uses it when he's writing/recording shit and not just for everyday activity, its a pretty cool image and some would even say genre, but there is a point where it is immoral and dangerous.
