I'd have to agree with you from the first listen. I know drake is half singer half rapper but tbh he is significantly better at rapping and I feel like he doesn't do enough on the album. When I think of the album I think it's more singing R&B with a rap song here and there than a rap album with a few slow tracks and that's somewhat disappointing to me.

The features for the most part were poorly placed. I mean he and Kendrick could have made a sick song together but he wants to put basically a 2 minute Kendrick freestyle on the end of Marvin's room that doesn't even make sense to me. I also feel like take care with Rihanna has been over used. The whole sound. Eminem did it great and it was so good it became a song I can't stand because of the radio play and I feel like TI and now drake is trying his version and I can't help but think about love the way you lie. Andre 3k could have been used on a better song and Stevie Wonder was the biggest disappointment for me bc I was expecting a hook at least. And crew love seemed more like a weeknd song with drake than drake with the weekend which I dislike even though the song is still pretty good.

Overall before I listen to th final is around where yours is. 6.5-7 for a rap album. 8-8.5 for a R&B album

Yep. We'll see when the grouprip drops, though.

It's still top 5 this year. In my opinion.

Too much singing for me. The only songs I kept were the ones where he's rapping on the majority of the song. Idk though, I'm a southern rap type guy

Idk, it's cool he sampled Juvi's record but he even recited Juvi's hook in there. I seen Back That Azz Up as untouchable, then Drake puts his lil R-N-B twist to it..Maybe it'll grow onto me but I think it's lame as of now..

You guys got to realise Drake makes mood music, he makes that raw shit to hype you..but he also makes that shit you can listen to at 3AM and chill too. He makes music you can relate too with girls but at the same time be one of the GOAT hook voices. He's very diverse, and that's what's pretty special about drizzy.

then just give it a 7.5 overall, you can't rate it as a pure rap album. that doesnt make sense cuz drake is not just a rapper and he never has been!
i understand if you guys think there's too much singing on the album, but drake's music has always been a mix of hiphop and rnb... and i personally like TC a lot and give it a 8.5/10
