Wow i can deff relate to this... I was in love 2 years ago and gave the baggage to my ex
It’s all for her to carry, bags she deserve to carry
I hate that hoe, i make it so hard just to talk, don’t I?
Let me being by thanking Toronto. I was lucky to be given time to create an album in the city that shaped me. I haven't spent this much time here since 40 and I were recording so far gone at 15 Fort York and I was living in the blue basement on Coulson Avenue. I began to remember the way certain places and people made me feel, and it became so apparent what the content of this album needed to be. I tried my best to make the soundtrack to our lives in this city...I hope I made you all proud. To my mom, I am so happy to see you as this new healthy woman. You look even more beautiful when you smile, so keeping you happy will always be the mission. To my Uncle Steve, firstly thank you for throwing that little barbeque for me over the summer. It may have only been 6 of us there but it meant the world to me. I hope you hear the words in Look What You’ve Done and you truly understand what you brought to my life...this would have been impossible without you. To my Bubi, I’m so glad you are still here to witness another chapter of my life...I love you. To my brother 40, every single time we embark on these journeys together in the back of my mind I wonder if one of us will run out of ideas forcing us to just call it a day and say “hey man great run”...that never happens. You are the most talented, hard working, creative individual I have ever met. Go spend 2 weeks on an island or something...and send Teddy somewhere too. You deserve it. To my brother Oliver, I am so proud of what we’ve done together. It’s amazing to watch you evolve and it’s an honor to now have you as one of my managers. To my whole team, CJ, Niko, Courtne, Chubbs, Spoon, Jordan, Jug, and Lauren, thank you for lightening the load and for allowing me to complete all that I need too to keep us on the rise. To my managers Tez and Gee, thank you for this chance, to not only achieve my dreams but to surpass them. You are two good men in a business of few good men. To my lawyer Chris Taylor, thank you for taking me on as a client and for solely focusing on protecting me and ensuring I am always in the clear. To my business manager David Bolno, thank you for pulling my life together for me and putting me in a position where I can now begin to build my empire. Also, thanks for bearing such a striking resemblance to Ben Affleck...that always comforts me. To Future, thanks for always being there when I need a very intelligent and valid opinion. To Cyrus, thank you for your loyalty and guidance as a friend during my entire career. To Chase N Cashe, thank you for being my life A&R and for always wanting to see me succeed and look and sound the best I possibly can. To Hush, thank you for always caring about the words as much as I do...you are my brother for life. To Al Branch, thanks for your hard work yet again. To Robert Gibbs, thank you for bringing me to the people and allowing me to perform for them time and time again. Chris Chambers and Sarah Cunningham and everybody at the Chambers Group thank you so much for connecting me with the world. To Jill and everybody at WME I am looking forward to our new partnership. Thank you to Catherine at BMI for always showing love and support. Thank you to Big Jon at EMI, you are a dear friend and you saved my life...my family and I thank you so much for that.
To everyone involved in the making of this album I thank you for your patience. I had so much I wanted to do for this record and I was a bit scattered at times so thank you for riding with me and being kind. To 40, I’ve said it all but I will say it again you are the true leader of this whole thing...without you there is no Drake at all. To Abel, meeting you changed my life and whether you realize it or not you are responsible for how hard I went to make this album one to remember. You are a gifted soul and you have given the world something extremely special. I am looking forward to the future with you and I am honored to call you a brother. To T Minus, I am so proud to see you achieve what you have in the last year...they have no idea what’s in store. Thank you for your consistency and your work ethic. To Boi 1da, I am very glad that we still always find a way. I could never have a project pass without having my brother bless it...thank you for your contributions. Weezy and Stunna you already know what it is...I’m here for life. Nicki Minaj I’m so proud of you...I love you so funckin much.
