I don't care about beats. I care about lyrics. And that's really why I dislike Wayne's recent work. He was never a lyricist, but now his beats have more of an impact than his lyrics. He needs to go back to the slow, ominous beats with samples.

Yes I would listen to acapellas, but you are missing the point. All of his beats recently have been so complex that they overshadow the lyrics. On a song like Shoot Me Down where the beat is slower, lower, and not as complex, Wayne was forced to utilize better lyrics because the beat couldn't hide him from ridicule if he screwed up.
