    YM really sux

    As a label/crew whatever YM really sux. I was on wiki checking on them... My god so many weed carriers.

    Lesbihonest, Wayne is a bona fida star regardless of quality. Aubrey has quality plus mainstream capabilities (Best member on YM overall by far [Disagree and we'll argue this till I get banned for flaming]), Nicki is trash musically but still sells relatively well but even she is selling less.

    The rest are trash. Cory Gunz has potential definitely but he ain't doing shit. A less successful XV. Tyga is trash, the best song on his album was an Aubrey rip off. Gudda, trash. Mack, trash. Millz, its been 10 years man it ain't happening. Snl, generic singer decent on a Mixtape hook. Torion, less successful diggy. Chuckee and Twist, trash although twist had some hype. Streets is trash. Short Dawg, only heard him on Me and My Drank, lesbihonest he ain't doing shit.

    If I missed anyone obviously they're too irrelevant to be mentioned.

    Imo of course.
    What do guys think, am I being too harsh?

    That's true, but don't forget that young money is full of new artists that still didn't shine yet....unlike G.O.O.D for example who has almost artists who already made it.

    I think Wayne/birdman are getting their artists to shine step by step. For example first drake and nicki, now Tyga got his shine. After Twist after Millz......ect.
    Artist after artist. Other than that artists like streets and Gudda are just people who were with Wayne since the begining so ofcourse Wayne gonna have them in the label. Mack Maine isn't suppose to be a "Young money rapper" he's more as the president of young money.


    In other words, I think young money will be full of shining rapper in the next 5-7 years..
    Don't forget it's not easy to get an artists to make it to the game and start selling numbers.. It took about two years of hard work to get drake and nicki to where they are..

      GOOD roster caters for different taste. YM is a mainstream label they want to sell and are willing to sacrifice music to obtain it. I understand other labels do it as well but it's more prominent on YM music.

      Drake went gold with SFG and platinum with TML. He had immediate success cause people liked him. He didn't need two years. Nicki is actually regressing.

        I like tyga's music. Careless world was dope for me. And I used to hate tyga but when he started to make music videos and get some hype I had the chance to check his music and it was cool.

        So you are saying if drake was not in young money ppl will still listen to him and get this big fan base? I don't think so...

        Your right YM is a mainstream label and their target is mostly money, but they can't push all the artists in the game all in one time!

              Pretty much agree with you on all of your post except about Tyga, especially the " best song on his album was an Aubrey rip off" part . I understand loving Drake but that part is bullshit.


              Tbh the point of YM is to sign 200 artist and hope for 10 megastars to come out of the mess

                      Careless World intro is probably my fav song on the album, I can't think of a better intro to an album this past year, Do it all, I'm Gone, Love Game, and Lay you down (even if it's old) to name a couple.

                      I'm not even gonna go over his mixtapes.
