honestly imo he doesnt really need to...except for a few token YMCMB shout outs on his more radio friendly songs, he doesnt seem to be at the whim of the record label...it seems like he is making the music he wants to make

This. Drake is a monster, straight up. He should be doing what he wants, plus it'll mean more $$$ as he'll have the rights to it all.

same as wayne back in 2004-2005 he could've went independent or signed with a bigger/better label
but theres something called LOYALTY...TBH if drake said im not ym any more and went on his solo path i will never be a fan of him anymore..
and he aint the biggest in the game right now..there is Kendrick & J Cole...so you cant really say he is the biggest.

technically he is, drake went platinum in 3 weeks j cole has yet to go platinum and it took Kendrick over a year
