A few days ago Birdman hinted at a "power move" with Apple Music and today we've learned that the streaming service has officially signed a label deal with Cash Money Records.
This new deal will likely include some sort of exclusivity guarantee, as well as the potential for Apple Music and Cash Money Records to co-create music and video content which will be exclusive to Apple.
For instance, last year Drake agreed to a deal with Apple which gave them a two-week exclusive of "Views," and they were also rumored to have funded his video for "One Dance." This is certainly something that we anticipate more of with the new Cash Money deal.
Although, Cash Money is exclusively distributed by Universal Music Group worldwide so it'll be interesting to see how this new partnership with Apple Music will impact that relationship.
