Had you asked around at that time will Wayne be doing tracks wit Madonna, Jay Z, Scarface, Nas etc... they woulda said hell naw. But he grew into that. Experience again has nothin to do wit marketability.Gucci mane for example dropped his first album and no one cared bout it except for the So icey song. Everyone was callin him wack.
