iNick is wrong. Haikes just download Malwarebytes AntiMalware, that will find the problem. If that doesn't work just run a system restore to a couple days ago

It's because people on here download shit or go on dodgy websites looking for music and you get malware. It's easy to make and is just fucking annoying and it buries itself in your System32 and can be hard to find and delete manually. No-one here gets any real problems lol.

i'm just stating. like you think after seeing the same post over and over ppl would get what to do lol

People should run a Malwarebytes scan every week at least anyway lol.

Lol Sorry for being Wrong just saying what i use and my computer runs like brand new still no problem still i tried Malwarebytes AntiMalware didn't like like it that much and Spybot is slow as Heck just Try Combofix it gotta rid of a Rootkit for me just saying

Lol first if you were paying attention he said he has a "Virus" Which is partially wrong because it's spyware but it acts as a virus. Second if you where really good at computers and this stuff you would already know what "ANtiVirus XP 2010" is because it is a bought up alot actually and it's not that easy to get rid of and third 95% of the time system restore doesn't help the situation it just makes it worser.

1. Malware/Spyware is a virus.

2. I know what it is and a System Restore does remove it because it RESTORES your System32 back to the date you choose. which will remove the virus as it wasn't there previously. Even my Dad who has 30 years of computer experience will tell you that.

1.Malware & Spyware are two completely different things and both have there own different agenda from viruses.

2.SR doesn't work most of the time because the individual person doesn't know when the infected file(s) got onto there computers and because of that doesn't know what date or time to restore. and it's been proven 57% of computer users doesn't keep a backup system restore files and even if it does work there's a chance your just removing one "virus" and restoring an old one.

Malware is computer viruses, worms, trojan horses, most rootkits, spyware, dishonest adware, crimeware and other malicious and unwanted software. So go learn something before you try and prove me wrong.

And most people actually do because said virus appears instantly on an infected computer, you just need to restore to a few days previously, 1 week prior at most to remove it. To restore all you need to know is the Original Admin password and you just use the F10, F11 or F12 key on start up depending on your machine and choose to restore your system, back ups in any other way or not it will always work in a restore from the Boot Menu. Or 1 better, just insert the disc or a usb drive which has a copy of Windows and boot from CD and run a partial restore and only restore your System32.

Off topic. But you get Malware normally by downloading and all links in here are safe software to download to fix virus problems.

My understanding was that a virus was anything that digs itself into your computer, and malware / spyware / trojans etc. were just forms of viruses

Who said his way was wrong, it just might not be as preferable as Malwarebytes. We have the hq version of Kratos over here.

Well I quite clearly said he was wrong because he was. No offence iNick.

Combofix is slower, it is less effective, it also won't remove it completely (the sort of virus Haikes got comes in 15 - 20 parts and Combofix won't find them all). Plus you have to stop the working of any other protection on your computer or Combofix definately will not do the job properly or run at all.

AVG is the anti-virus I use but it's not that great, Malwarebytes AntiMalware is all I really use for big scans, it picks up everything AVG would and more.
