hey this boy in my class asked me for my number, he said he need to call me to ask what he missed when he stepped out of class which was only for a minute but he never called. do y'all think that was just an excuse so he can have my number?

It's a little of both truthfully.

What you have to understand is that men will say (and do) just about anything to get a girls number/attention, which leads into doing stupid things and random ways of getting either of the two.
