It's a defensive tactic. You can't expect from us to play attacking against best offensive team in Premier League and to do it without our key players, Cech, Terry, Hazard, Etoo..
I agree about time wasting, I hate that, it's a football killer.
But I liked the tactic, it may not be pretty to watch, but result is the most important, just like in NBA, same goes for football, defense wins titles, offense wins games. This should have been "title" match if we didn't lose against Sunderland, and I'm glad they played it like it was a title deciding match and not like some usual match.
Atletico played against Barca same way, R.Madrid played against Bayern exactly same like Chelsea did yesterday against Liverpool..
It's definitely a new way of playing, like Mourinho called it, "evolution".. But in my opinion, I want offensive football and attractive games, thats what football is all about, but if this tactic brings titles and wins in decisive matches, I'm not gonna go against it haha
And I think City will lose points against Everton. That should be interesting match to watch.
Mourinho moans about other teams doing it (West Ham & Tottenham for example) and called it 19th century football. He's an asshole.
