#1. On the Dedication series, DJ Drama is the emcee while Lil' Wayne is the rapper. Think of the emcee as a host.
#2. A beat and instrumental are the same thing, however the distinction is if there's someone singing or rapping over the beat.
#3. Hip-hop is the genre of music, rapping is the way you make the music. Like singing. You don't listen to sing music do you?
#4. A parody and spoof are the exact same thing, a mockery done for humor or satire. A cover is a new performance or recording, whether as a tribute or to bring the song to a new audience.
#5. A bar is a measure of the notes; a line is a sentence or phrase that is spoken.
