* Vehicles will return, but they will be very different than those in Call of Duty: World at War.
* Co-Op is going to be four-player online stand-alone – a unique experience to the single-player. It also supports two-player split-screen.
* There is going to be a "Barebones" playlist which removes things like perks, attachments, killstreaks, etc.
* Treyarch has confirmed there will be no public beta, only an internal for Activision/Treyarch employees.
* Matchmaking is being changed so that it is easier for friends to play together.
* Some campaign levels will be based off of multiplayer maps instead of the typical vice-versa. This is because some multiplayer maps were made before the campaign was finalized.
* Create-a-Class 2.0
* Host migration from MW2 will be included.
* Improved Server browser.
* PC version will have an anti-cheat program named Punkbuster.
* The customized killstreaks will return, but the game-ending Tactical Nuke will not. Kills earned from killstreak rewards will not count towards increasing a player's killstreak.
* The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 perk 'Commando' is not expected to return.
* The PC version of the game will feature dedicated servers.
* Gun & Emblem customization (324 to choose from). You can etch your clan tag on the back of your gun, shape your sight and even change the color of the sight. You can do the same with your emblem.
* Players now have the ability to "dolphin dive".
* A new theater mode has been implemented and you can use a lot of features such as managing segments, adding transitions and even uploading your clip.
* There is now cP or Call of Duty points. You earn these as well as XP as you play and rank up in Blackops multi-player. In BO, you'll be able to purchase guns, attachments, camos, etc after you've reached the required level.
* Dual Wielding will make it's return.
* Combat Training Mode allows for new players to get acquainted with online play vs'ing Bots. It has a totally separate ranking system from regular MP.
* You can buy "contracts" (which are timed challenges) with your CP to earn even more CP with better rewards for more difficult contracts.
* Pro Perks have made their return.
* You can now create custom game modes.
* Perk in Slot 1 will effect how your character looks.
* Max level is 50 and there is a Prestige Mode.
* New Game Mode called "Wager Match" which contains 4 FFA playlists in which you can bet your CP against other players with the top 3 scorers being "In the Money" and the rest gaining 0. Playlists as follows:
- One in the Chamber: Everyone spawns with a pistol with 1 bullet and 3 lives. If you get a kill, you take your enemies bullet and can keep shooting. If you miss, you then have to use a knife.
- Sticks and Stones: Everyone spawns with a Crossbow, Ballistic Knife and Tomahawk. The catch in this gametype is if you are hit by a Tomahawk, you are bankrupted. UAV will be on constantly, players will show up as red blips to reduce camping and first place will show up in gold
- Gun Game: Everyone starts with a pistol and with every kill, your weapon will progress to the next level. The first player who progresses through all the weapons wins the Gun Game. Look out though, if you are knifed, you are knocked down a level.
- Shapshooter - Everyone will spawn with the same randomly selected weapon. You used that gun for a fixed amount of time and only that time and then everyone will get switched out to the next weapon. With each kill, you will earn a perk and eventually a scoring multiplier.
- Prestige and Harden edition include the following: Black Ops avatar, Black Ops medal, limited edition case, 4 original WaW zombie maps, and RC car*
*only included on Prestige.

Maps
* Fuel
* Summit - A second cousin to Modern Warfare 2’s snowy submarine level, Summit offers up a high-altitude, ice-laden complex for a nice combination of indoor and outdoor combat. While not as sprawling or expansive as its distant relative, a multi-level interior command center with tall, vaulted ceilings offers a reprieve from the cold outside. But if you’re the type who likes to hole up in a tight, quiet sniping position, keep an eye out for a ski-lift boxcar you can reach with a perfectly executed leap.
* Radiation - With the exception of a small outdoor area flanked on two sides by railings and ledges – the perfect vantage from which to fire down on your friends – Radiation is largely a close-quarters map, set against the dimly-lit hallways of a military industrial space. In the center of the map, a set of blast doors and radiation vents lead down into a sub-surface series of passageways. A conveyor belt can help launch players back up to the surface with a well timed jump, so long as you avoid falling into the churning grinders below.
* Slaughterhouse
* Launch - The night’s loudest “Holy sh*t!” moment came courtesy of Launch. As we emerged from an in-door firefight, muzzle-flare lighting the darkness, a high-pitched wail cut the gunplay. The cacophony of bullets was instantly swallowed up by the sounding of an alarm that could signal absolutely nothing positive. As our enemy demonstrated a clear inability to absorb bullets with his cranium, we spilled out into the daylight, sirens blaring, to discover a massive nuclear missile thrusting itself in a fiery display toward heaven. Sadly, however, we’re told that there’s no way for players to perch atop the bomb as it rises from the silo below, although there’s no scenario we can conjure greater than the kamikaze glory of sniping down on your opponents whilst riding a bomb into space.
* Cracked - Perhaps the most visually distinct of the four levels we played, Cracked offers up a sun-baked city in absolute ruin. Surface and subterranean levels merge seamlessly as sunken streets descend into the basements of collapsed buildings. Small gaps between blown-out, brick-and-mortar walls allow for straight-on sniping locations while thru-lanes and alleyways set the scene for some cat-and-mouse machine gun action. Flaming vehicles and some eye-catching graffiti offer a dash of personality.
* Jungle - We saw a litte bit of everything in the preview or jungle, Treyarch commentated that there will be plenty of everything, tight ruins for frantic CQB battle for the people carrying smgs, and shotguns. Nice mid-range fields for those with ARs, and plenty of loft spots an hide outs for snipers.
* Havana - Very little was released about this map, however Treyarch commented that this is the traditional 1 or 2 long streets with connecting alley ways and buildings. This should be a good throwback to MWs crossfire and strike.
* Crisis

* Hanoi
* Array
* Cairo
* Cosmodrome

Perks
Tier 1
* Lightweight: This allows you to move faster, but how fast depends on the weapons mobility.
Pro:
* Scavenger: Pick up ammo from fallen enemies. Replenish lethal grenades.
Pro:
* Ghost: Undetectable by the spy plane and Blackbird.
Pro:
* Flak Jacket: Reduces explosive damage.
Pro:
* Hardline: Killstreaks require 1 less kill.
Pro:
Tier 2
* Hardened: This gives your weapon increased bullet penetration. Works just like the FMJ attachment from Modern Warfare 2.
Pro: Classified
* Scout: Increases the time you can steady a weapons scope. This is very useful with sniper rifles.
Pro:
* Steady Aim: Significantly increases hip fire accuracy. This should be used with the Dual Wield attachment, since Dual Wield prevents you from aiming down on the sights.
Pro:
* Sleight of Hand: Cuts the weapons reload time in half. This should be familiar to Call of Duty veterans. Useful with light machine guns since they have long reload times.
Pro: Aim down sights faster (does not apply to sniper rifles)
* Warlord: Bling returns from Modern Warfare 2 with a new name. This allows you to equip 2 attachments to your primary weapon.
Pro:
Tier 3
* Marathon: Extends your sprint time. Marathon does not increase sprint speed or give you unlimited sprint.
Pro:
* Ninja: Makes your footsteps silent, thus giving you a powerful stealth advantage.
Pro:
* Second Chance: Allows you to survive a normal death. You will drop to the ground and pull out your handgun. Second Chance ends after 10 seconds or if you take a single hit from the enemy, and in both cases, you will die.
Pro:
* Hacker: This works like SitRep from Modern Warfare 2. Hacker allows you to detect enemy explosives and equipment like Tactical Insertions, Camera Spikes, Jammers, etc.
Pro: Allows you to booby trap enemy Care Packages and turn enemy killstreaks and equipment friendly. For example Sentry Guns, Claymores, SAM Turrets, etc.
* Tactical Mask: Significantly reduces the effects of flashbangs and concussion grenades.
Pro:

[hr] SOG - Mission 1/13
The player finds himself in the thick of the jungle fighting VC. One section involves the player crawling along trenches with enemy flamethrowers blazing overhead (similar to the scene in Call of Duty: World at War, where Reznov and Dimitri escape German flamethrowers in a collapsing building).
[hr] The Defector - Mission 2/13
In this level, you discover the main plot of Black Ops; Mason is being interrogated in a dark room lined with monitors. There's also a strange drug being fed into his bloodstream via needle. The entire game is based around Mason in this room having flashbacks to the various military operations he participated in. This interrogation room is seen at the beginning of the teaser trailer, by the dialog it seems that the interrogators are trying to get Mason to remember the experiences ("this will help you to remember everything, "and maybe something extra to assist"). The "something extra" to assist is probably the drug.
[hr] Numbers - Mission 3/13
This mission involves torturing a prisoner as Hudson, along with Weaver and Clarke, something the player does himself with context-sensitive commands. When torturing the prisoner, Mason will smash a glass window, then place a shard in the mouth of the prisoner, punching his jaw several times.
The level takes place in Kowloon, Hong Kong.
After the torture scene, the North Vietnamese Army discover their positions and the player will have to jump over rooftops from them.
[hr] Project Nova - Mission 4/13
Project Nova is a single player level in Call of Duty: Black Ops. The main objective in this level is to destroy the biological weapon called codenamed Nova-6.
[hr] Victor Charlie - Mission 5/13
In this mission the player will start off in a crashed helicopter and will have to make their way upstream swimming with only a knife. After crossing the river, the player with Mason meets Frank Woods, Swift and other members of SOG fight in the one Vietcong village. After this, the player and Swift enter in a Vietcong tunnel to seek where Kravtchenko is.

[hr] Operation 40 - Mission 6/13
Operation 40 is a single player level in Call of Duty: Black Ops, and is so far the only confirmed level to feature a playable CIA operative.
[hr] Vorkuta - Mission 7/13
Vorkuta is a single player level in Call of Duty: Black Ops.[1] This level will take place in Russia in the Vorkuta Gulag.
[hr] Executive Order- Mission 8/13
Executive Order is a single player level in Call of Duty: Black Ops. Confirmed via Achievements.
[hr] Crash Site - Mission 9/13
Crash Site is a single player level in Call of Duty: Black Ops. In the Reveal Trailer, a helicopter can be seen crashing in Hue City, Vietnam. From the revealed achievements, it is known that the Slaughterhouse campaign mission was renamed. It is most likely that this mission was Slaughterhouse since it took place in Hue City and that there was a "Crash Site" there.
[hr] WMD - Mission 10/13
The player (as Thomas) is approaching an SR-71 Blackbird reconnaissance aircraft which sits on a runway in a California Airbase. After approaching the vehicle, Thomas is saluted and begins to board the plane. After requesting for takeoff, the player is told "Your aircraft sir". The pilot (the player) is then prompted to press a control to engage the boosters, then must pull back on the thumb-stick (or equivalent) to begin the ascent. After a short cinematic of Big Eye 6 in orbit, the screen cuts to a first person view of the cockpit.
The view is that of a thermal screen where the four man team (Kilo 1 - SOG) can be seen prone in the snow. Thomas' job is to assist them passing enemy patrols. After providing them with recon, the screen fades, and the player assumes control of Hudson, one of the members of the SOG squad below. Throughout the beginning of the level the view switches between characters as the squad approaches enemies.
The player lies prone in the snow with his squad-mates on his flanks, with his crossbow. Power lines can be seen in the distance. Heavy breathing can be heard. At that moment, a group of Russian soldiers on patrol slowly creep by north. Luckily, the squad is not detected and the troops continue on their path.
The objective is to make way to a sub station. The point of interest is that of a weapons manufacturing facility. Making their way down the snowy trails, SOG is met by their first enemies. Shouldering the crossbow, the player picks off any targets while remaining completely silent. Continuing further down, the player is then required to hook up and rappel down the steep face of a mountain. After hooking up their ropes and beginning their descent, the player is required to manually rappel down the cliff face. Rappelling a second time and shooting through the facility's windows with suppressed AUG prototype rifles, SOG is immediately met by a horde of Russian soldiers. Once the substation is taken, the objective is updated and the player is required to move to the "com-stat".
Going further down the mountain, SOG soon meet a group of enemies that require a bit more firepower. Switching over to explosive tips on the modified crossbow, the enemies are quickly eliminated. After taking out the enemy troops and taking the storage shed, the player moves onto the power room.
Alarms are sounding, enemy chatter can be heard. Switching to an assault rifle, the player heads towards the power room. Moving behind their teammate, he opens a door and is immediately met face to face with an enemy, resulting in the teammate killing the enemy with a throwing knife, in the neck. Making headway through the facility, the opposition is heavy. Chaos ensues, but only shortly as the player and his teammate quickly kill the enemies inside the facility. Moving to the objective, the player finds the relay and yanks the fuses from the box, rendering the station useless.
Once the SOG have cleared the mountain and completed the objective, jumping across opening crevices pursues, and the player follows the team to what is hoped to be safety, before a Russian troop fires an RPG at the bridge, killing Brooks after falling off the bridge. Then again, another is at the face of the cliff, resulting in a large avalanche. As the snow rushes behind, the SOG team have no choice but to jump.

[hr] Payback - Mission 11/13
Payback[1] is a single player level in the upcoming game Call of Duty: Black Ops set in Laos. In this mission, the player will operate a Mi-24 Hind.[2] Although the player has full control of horizontal movement, they cannot control vertical movement. It has been stated that there will be no tutorial on how to control the helicopter.
Images:
[hr] Rebirth - Mission 12/13
Rebirth is a single player level in Call of Duty: Black Ops.[1] It appears to take a place in a lab, as one of achievements lists a "Rebirth Lab" and "Rebirth Island".
[hr] Redemption - Mission 13/13
Redemption is a single player level in Call of Duty: Black Ops. Also confirmed from achievements.

[hr] Call of Duty: Black Ops Limited Edition Jeep
[spoil]
Well, this is certainly something you do not see everyday. The vehicle is the Jeep Wrangler except for the fact that it resembles Call of Duty: Black Ops.
