Shit isn't working, When I select the songs and drag them to my desktop nothing happens.

don't drag it to the desktop. when you plug you ipod in on the right side you should be able to see your ipod and its playlist and library. you click and drag the song off your new itunes and drag it into your ipods playlist or library

yes it does cause i do to my ipod since my computer crashed and i didn't want to start all over

You can't use the iPod Touch as an external drive. You could with the classics and whatnot but not the Touch
