I understand the high hopes but at the end of the day you have to be realistic.
They should be happy advancing past the first round, but to beat the Lakers in a 7 gm series is gonna be really hard.

Obviously. But the Nuggets have as good of a chance as any other team in the West. The Lakers hadn't lost a home game in 2 months before the Nuggets beat them. And the Nuggets were missing 2 players, including Afflalo who is our best defender.

I think Nuggets/Lakers in the 2nd round would be a great series... They've developed a little rivalry. I wish we had traded Melo sooner though, we would have a better seed for sure.

Don't think they would of played as good if they traded him sooner. I think the trade helped there swag more then anything.

They would've played just as well regardless of when the trade happened. They have 10-11 players competing for playing time, and everybody knows they get benched if they don't play hard on both ends. GK deserves a lot of credit too, I would probably put him 2nd in COY behind Thibodeau. And I haven't looked this up, but the Nuggets have to be the only team in the NBA with 8 players averaging double figures.
