And you said rings don't determine greatness...that's exactly what determines greatness, when your talking about great players..obviously if a nigga rides the bench but has 7 rings you don't compare him with the great players who have rings

Agree with this....are you saying Allen Iverson, Charles Barkley, Karl Malone,John Stockton aren't great players??? and Can't be compared to players that have won rings..?

BlakeJay going in... The people that bring up the Shaq thing just never watched the series because they were probably to young. Same people that said the Bulls were only good because of MJ..

Although the year MJ left to play baseball that same Bulls team went to the Eastern Conference Finals and was 1 game away from the finals... Could the Laker teams Kobe got to the finals come close to that? No.

The could barely even beat the Kings with Kobe.
Didn't they go 7 games 3 years in a row?

nah those are Great players but its difficult..because in certain cases other factors come into play..like the fact that Karl Malone and Barkley (and Stockton) played in the Jordan era, it was almost impossible for anyone else to win lol..And with Iverson, he never played with any Great players..i wasn't tryna say rings are the only thing that matter but to say they don't matter when comparing great players is incorrect

No I think it was me.. Lol.

See the point I'm trying to get out there is that when you're just comparing who is a better player (Ex. Kobe vs. LeBron) you dont compare off rings, you compare their stats and who made more of a difference for their team..

Now if your comparing their legacies (Greatness) overall to all the other players that ever played, that's when championships come into the mix.

Who's the better player? LeBron. Who has a better legacy? Kobe. Just how I look at things.

Btw I kinda take back what I said about Kobe only would have won only 2 rings without Shaq, because BlakeJay pointed out that without Kobe, Shaq wouldn't have the rings either, and I realize that now and totally agree with that.

Lebron right now for sure gunna win MVP this year if he keeps playing like the way he does. He makes fade aways and dunkin on people look easy. Scores 30 a game and makes it look like it's so easy.

Stop comparing rings damnit Kobe has had better teams than Lebron, with the exception of last year.

Kobe for most of his career has had another great player to compliment him, while Bron was in Cleveland he had literally no one.

Lets stop comparing stats too then since Lebron played with No one for the first half of his career and was able to pile up great stats while Kobe couldn't put up great numbers the first half of his career because he was on a Great team..

I get what your saying but if you use that logic you cant compare anything..everbody has different circumstances as a player..it may not be fair but that's how it is..you compare what's there, Lebron has the stats, Kobe has the rings so far..
