He doesn't have a no trade clause though and the Nets have the best pieces to trade for him, so if we work out a deal with them he has no choice

Anyways, I've heard Melo's name come up a couple of times and the Lakers are mentioned. I have NO IDEA how the hell it could happen but it'd be awesome, Melo & Kobe are best friends from the Olympic team so that's something I suppose.

There would be no reason to even finish the season if Melo went to the Lakers. That team would be unbeatable. I highly doubt it's gonna happen though lol

Kobe, Gasol, & Melo' are a better big 3 than ANYTHING else you could put together. That'd be nuts!

Seriously. Kobe and Melo are arguably the 2 best closers in the game, how would you beat that team? It wouldn't even be fair lol

Obviously I don't want to lose an elite player in his prime but that trade at least gets us some good young talent and an expiring contract in return.

That's actually a really good trade. There's no reason to keep Billups if Melo' goes really, so ship him out and bring in young talent.

Favors has A LOT of potential to be a great player, and Harris is a great PG.

It's a trade that could actually happen too... The Nets aren't getting Melo without Favors and they've also said that Harris is on the trading block (no I don't know why) plus they have an assload of #1 picks the next 2 years (5 I think). It would hurt us this season obviously but leaves us at a point where we don't have a whole lot of rebuilding to do.

Definitely. I'm pretty sure they won't let that happen though. I wouldn't be necessarily happy with that trade, but as happy as you can be when you lose a player like Melo lol

A little over 24 hours before the Heat/Lakers game! Honestly I'm not expecting a W, I'll be cheering hard and hoping they win so the Heat fans shut up but I'm not going to be suprised if we lose. The Lakers really just don't care about it, they might be more excited but to them it's just a game on Christmas. This game is HUGE HUGE HUGE for the Heat. They haven't beat a contender this season except Orlando once. They need to beat an elite so people will say 'Oh yeah there Contenders', it'll be a good game but I'm honestly not going to be surprised if LA loses, that also doesn't mean Miami is the better team.
