The Spurs are the closest thing to basketball perfection this league has ever seen. Effort on defense, ball movement, unselfishness, efficiency, a stoic demeanor. You can plug pretty much any motivated player into their system and they'll have something to contribute. Add to that two of the craftiest players in the league (Parker and Manu) and the best player since Michael Jordan (Duncan). There's a reason last year's Finals is unanimously considered one of the best to watch in a very long time.

Also, what does Kobe mean when he says "We'll get revenge next year?" They could add a top 5 pick, Kevin Love and Carmelo Anthony and they'd still be nowhere near title contenders.
It seems like everytime the Spurs are in the finals (and not playing Miami because of LBJ) you always hear about how low the ratings are in the Finals. people don't enjoy watching em.

I get the boring reputation from '97 to '05, because the Spurs' game was very defensive minded; and the offense was basically playing it 4 Down to Timmy. But when Parker became the focus of our offense, we became a fun team. I think the bad reputation carried over

        • Exactly Why Durant Will NEVER win a Ring Long As Westbrook Is On The Team

          • Spurs now have the best record in the league.

We have the oldest group of star players, and we've had major injuries all year (Parker, Manu, Kawhi, Splitter), and yet we still have the best record in the league

They Need To Gone Head & Trade Westbrook For Rondo & Let Westbrook Be The Man In Boston & Somehow Build Around that

                  • Man if the Bulls can get Melo next year w/o giving up Taj we'll be a guarantee in the Finals.
Noah is playing like crazy right now! You could even argue he is a MVP candidate at this point although I know he'll never win. If only Rose didnt get injured again who knows where we could be right now.

who do you think would defer/become the second choice (like shaq did with wade, wade did with lebron) for those 2 in that situation if he goes?

personally i think rose, only because i dont know if he'll ever be as good as he was 2 years ago

i think his scoring would decrease, but assists would probably go up alot if hes dishing out to melo

It would definitely be Rose especially coming off of the injuries. Rose would have to adjust his game and be more of a facilitator than a scorer which could be good or bad depending on how his game is when he comes back. Even if he is 75% of what he used to be that will be good enough. I just really hope that we can keep Taj and have a lineup of Rose, Butler, Melo, Taj and Noah. That would be one of the best defensive lineups in the league and thats even with Melo not playing any D since Butler, Taj and Noah are already some of the best defenders in the league and with Melo, Rose scoring anywhere from 50 points a night between them both it was would less pressure for the other 3 to score and focus more on their D.

Honestly Melo isnt the problem in NY its the terrible management and their constant bad decision making. I mean they are doing so bad this season and not even going to get anything out of it because of the Melo deal which was their fault in the first place for giving up their picks like it was nothing. I mean they did the same thing with their pick they traded to us and thanks to that we got Rose so as long as they keep making those irresponsible trades their going to be stuck in the position their at.
