I gained some more respect for him today when he said he was going to help feed 100 Chicagoans a day.

That is a reason to. That's really nice of him.

It also gets me in 2008 he was like a vote for Obama is a vote for the future, but he recently called him the biggest terrorist.

That's one of the most under-rated Wayne verses ever. That flow is arguably faster than Told Ya'll.

The last thing I want to sound like is a hater, but am I the only one that lost some respect for Lupe ?

I hadn't followed his career before Lasers, but he was still in high standards for me. I don't mind that Lasers wasn't that good, but the fact he called himself a rebel. He was supposed to be a rebel, but let the company tell him what to do.

Just doesn't seem right to me

That just how it goes sometimes..Wasnt much he could do..His fans wanted an album bad. The Label wanted a mainstream album..Lupe aint like Wayne he doesnt run the label and cant do whatever he wants. Lasers still promotes the message that Lupe always puts out. Its just in a mainstream form. If you listen closely "Show Goes On" is pretty much a diss to the label. But he said 100% Food and Liquor 2 will not be messed up by the label. So no i havent lost respect for him

I understand that, but a rebel wouldn't care what a label said.
What would be affected if he didn't do it ? He would lose some money ? He would get dropped ? He would definitely get picked back up.


Once again it's not about the music it's about the rebel part.
