Cli in here tellin' the truth. Ion't always agree with everything I read but Tupac is way overrated. Dude was dope because of what he talked about, NOT because he was a wordsmith or some kind of witty lyrical genius. He had subject matter.

But this type of disagreement always makes me wonder what EXACTLY makes a motherfucker "lyrical." Is it how they paint the picture? How they put their words together? Or is it the picture that they paint in the end?

That's why I don't believe that anyone is better than prime Wayne. He executed all of those flawlessly most of the time. Pac was more of the type of rapper who was just getting his message across. He wasn't witty, and his delivery wasn't exactly diverse or dope(IMO). But what he was trying to say on some songs was relate-able and real. Wayne had all of that. I don't believe anyone else does, well not on the level he was on anyway.

It's kind of why I don't get all of the Kendrick hype. He can rap, and he's dope. But the way I see it, he only has two of those things. He's just not witty to me. If you just listen to what he says, you'll get what he's driving at in the first listen. The only way you'll miss anything is if his flow is a little too complex for you. With Wayne, niggaz is still figuring out shit he was saying all those years ago, and that's dope as fuck to me.

But onto the topic of the random topic, Drake>>>Tupac. Drake talks about real shit too. Just because it happens to be more about females and shit and less hood means nothing. Real is real. I'm sure more people can relate to people problems than hood ones anyway.

Just my thoughts on that shit.
