It depends on how specific you define OS.

Going from Tiger (10.4) to Leopard (10.5) I believe its $99. Going from Leopard to Snow Leopard (10.6 & Current OS) is also $99. Then there's the version of that OS. Current one is 10.6.6. Updating the versions is free.

Any Mac you would buy right now would most likely have S.L, version 10.6.1. Maybe .6. I dunno.

One of the reasons im going away from my HP is because it's made in plastic, so no way im going to buy a Macbook in plastic but dude, Macbook Pro cost such a small amount more than a Macbook? You should save up for the Pro bro.
