To get credit, you need to own a credit card. Without owning a credit card in your name, you have no credit.

Shit, if everyone had good credit by not owning a credit card, what would be the point in owning one? lol

I have good credit and I've never had one. You do realise, "credit" just means money that isn't yours? People get them so instead of borrowing if they're short etc or need a bit more money they can borrow credit from a bank but you have to pay it back or get raped by interest rates and late fees etc. Well that's what I thought anyway.

yeah you dont need a credit card to gain credit..Banks will give you credit for paying bills on time ETC..
