Soulja Boy enters the Guinness Book of World Records with the lowest first week sales numbers by any major label artist ever; not only in Hip Hop, but music in general.
Here’s what Soulja Boy had to say to MTV about the great news:
“Yeah I’d like to think my fans who I’ve alienated through the flaunting of my extravagant purchases like $3 million dollars in gold jewelry & my collection of cars that I’ve afforded through their ringtone downloads & showing up to numerous concerts and multiple views of Youtube classics like “Rich Nigga Shit” part 1, 2, and 4 that really shines on my ignoramus personality.
Oh and last, but not least for helping me stretch my 15 minutes of fame to a little over an hour”
When asked what was next for Soulja Boy he said:
“Well first Soulja Boy is looking to partner with Cash 4 Gold to see about getting the maximum value for my gold chains & SODMG pieces and going back to school to study Finance.
I feel these are the first steps of many toward connecting with Soulja Boys fans again; is to show them that I have matured from this minor setback of selling 13,000 albums in my first week and that Deandre Way is now just like them once again…living a regular life “
