    So im thinking about getting an 8gb ipod touch tomorrow and ive got a few questions;

    1: Is 8GB going to be big enough? Ill only be putting around 500 songs on, few apps & games.
    2. Are they worth the money and all the hype?

    1. I used to have the 8GB, and you'll have PLENTY of space if your only putting 500 songs on it and some apps. I had to upgrade to the iPhone 4 16GB for more space though because I eventually ran out.

    2. Yes, there an awesome device. There worth every penny.

          I'm now looking at a 32GB. I've got a feeling i'll use the HD video recording a lot.

            I have the iPhone 3gs 32gb and I have 2200 songs, around 300 photo's, and like 15 to 20 apps. Still got 17gb free space.
            I don't know how much space the HD photo's/video's take, but I don't really think you need 32gb if you're planning on putting 500 songs on it and a few apps.

              I know what you mean but my music collection is only going to get bigger and im sure ill find alot more to put on it in the future. Videos, games, apps etc. Its alot of money but I suppose its better to get a bigger one rather than smaller just incase, its about time apple made them with memory cards.

                I see.
                Yeah, better buy a bigger one than a smaller one.
                But if you keep 8gb+ empty space all the time, then it's a waste of your money.

                  I suppose so.
                  What's the average size of a game/app?

                  I've never had an ipod, silly question maybe but is it okay to rip from cds and put those on via itune or do you HAVE to download the songs you want from itunes store?

                        Average size of an app is around 4.2MB.

                        And no, you can sync all songs from your iTunes library to your iPod.
