anyone else having problems try this route.

Just download the official version.
Place it into your documents folder.
Open iTunes and Shift+Restore
Its worked

i used an alternate link and it took like 20 min to dl. other people were waiting HOURS, itunes said 3 hours so i cancelled that shit right away..

all i did was plug my phon into itunes and it told me to update and i did... didnt even take 20mins

Not really to impressed by iOS5. Doesn't take the same leap as iOS 3+4.
Looking forward to seeing Siri on 4S in real life.
