I'm actually excited about what the new COD is going to bring for the first time since Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

They are skipping old gen and creating it on a new Engine specifically for PS4/Xbox One & PC. So finally they are putting in a bit of effort rather than just reskinning like every previous COD. They are obviously gonna release it for old gen, but it will run on the old engine and that will mean less features for those players and that version.

But Kevin Spacey as lead villain, can't wait. And looking forward to see how this plays on the new engine on next gen.

There will be an old gen version, but a different studio is handling it. Last time, Infinity Ward (the guys who made Ghosts) tried to do all platforms and screwed it up bad.
