i have an idea! take it or leave it, this may improve the thread.
how about we include the general gist of the film and/or our rating?
for instance; i think 'requiem for a dream' is a must watch.
it's a film by darren aronofsky - the director of black swan. it's one of my favorite films, about addiction and the many different ways it affects us and the ones we love.
it's truly a great film, but be prepared for it to resonate with you for weeks after the credits roll.
i'd give it a 8.5/10 (and you may not know me, but i'm harsh when it comes to film - as i was going to school to be a critic), though it really isn't for everybody. in fac, i suspect many to abort watching it to the end, for it can be immensely disturbing.
In Butterfly Effect, Ashton Kutcher has a unique ability to go back in time and change his past which obviously then affects his future. Everytime he does this, he does it with the intention of doing right by his love interest but something ALWAYS goes wrong, either with him, with a relative or with a friend. The 'present' never turns out perfect the way he wants it to, so he keeps doing it in the hope it turns out perfect . . .
